WHO
IS JESUS CHRIST?
Twenty centuries have come and gone; Empires and Kingdoms have risen and fallen; Mighty armies have marched and fought bravely; and powerful rulers have reigned. Yet no one has affected the mankind as much as He. He is the central figure of the human race.
With His birth was the present era calculated to begin with, that is, in A.D.1(A.D. standing for Anno Domini - meaning 'in the year of the Lord') and now accordingly we are in the 21st century(2000A.D. to 2099A.D.). Before A.D.1, the years were calculated backwards in B.C. (B.C. standing for 'Before Christ'). He has made such a great impact on all mankind, no one else could have done that.
Because He is the Messiah; the Son of God.

WHAT
JESUS HAS COMMANDED
US TO DO?
We can read all about Jesus
from the Holy Bible, from the four Gospels in the New Testament.
On reading the words of Jesus, miracles and wonders happen, because
" The Word of God is alive and
active; sharper than any double-edged sword. It cuts
all the way through, to where soul and spirit meet, to where joints
and marrow come together. It judges the desires
and thoughts of man's heart. " (Hebrews 4:12)
and all that we need, may it be anything, but according to the
Scriptures, we shall obtain through faith in God.
And faith itself, besides love, hope, humility, peace,
righteousness, patience etc.(Colossians 3:12-17) and all other
good qualities come and reside in us only by reading
the Word of God (2Peter 1:5-11). Hence what Jesus
wants from us is to keep away from all sins, read the Word of
God and obey and follow it(St.Matthew 12:50), pray
at all times(St.Luke 21:36; 1Thessalonians 5:17) with
no doubt and try to fulfill his wish in you- to Spread the Kingdom
of God (St.Matthew 6:33), spread the message that He gave
to us(St.Matthew 28:19-20), which again is possible
through God's word and by that we will be called his
children and by our faith will inherit Eternal Life (St.John 1:1-5;
3:36; 4:14; 6:63) in Heaven. By the power of the Word
of God, anything is possible (St.Matthew 19:26).
God's Word to you is the Bible.
Read and study it daily and faithfully. Always pray for
wisdom and understanding before study. Never come to God's Word
with a "know-it-all" type of attitude. Come
to God's Word in humbleness and meekness. Did you
know God's Word teaches us to even tremble at His Word?
Whatever thoughts you have that you might think
are from God need to be compared with God's Word.
Obey the Gospel. We are reminded that, faith is the substance
of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen(Hebrews
11:1). Faith comes from hearing the Word of God, and
the Bible tells us that 'Faith without works is dead,
being alone'(James 2:17,20). If you are not reading
your Bible and serving Jesus, when the time comes
that you need faith, it will not be there. Since without
faith it is impossible to please God, how will you
get an answer from God? Praying something like, "Well,
if it be God's will," is praying with no faith
at all.You need to know what God's will is (from the
Bible), then pray the prayer of faith.You need to have unwavering
faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus taught his disciples
to pray like this(The Lord's Prayer)-
"Our
Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,
thy
Kingdom come, thy will be done,
on
earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us today our daily
bread, and forgive us our trespasses
as
we forgive those who trespass against us,
lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
for yours is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory, now and forever.
Amen."

IS
JESUS STILL LIVING
AMONG US?
Yes, Of course.Jesus is still alive and lives among us
and He is performing these same miracles -
"The blind see again, the lame walk, those
suffering from virulent skin-diseases are cleansed, and the
deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, the good news is proclaimed
to the poor" (St.Luke 7:22)
and more, as Jesus had said,
"I am telling you the truth: whoever believes in me
will do what I do - yes, he will do even greater things, because
I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask for
in my name, so that the Father's glory is shown through the
Son. If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it."(St.John14:12-14)
as He had performed 2000 years back during his
ministry in
JEEVAN DHAM, Faridabad, Haryana, INDIA. Thousands of
people have witnessed and experienced for themselves the Power,
Mercy, Peace and Love of Almighty God during the prayer service
held here on every Sunday.
Many people suffering even from Cancer,
Diabetes, Eczema(Skin Disease), Leprosy, AIDS, T.B., Paralysis
have been cured by the Power of the Word of God because nothing
is impossible for Him, what looks impossible for men(St.Matthew19:26)
,
several polio-stricken children and
adults, the blind, the dumb, the deaf and the lame have been
cured and have got a new life,
many have turned towards God - they have
left their sinful lives and have started a New Life altogether,
many drug addicts and smokers and
alcoholics have been freed from the long-time slavery of these
fatal addictions,
many broken families have been rejoined peacefully,
many have been able to pay their debts, own their house, shops,
factories which they had never dreamt of,
many have recognized the true God, their
eyes and ears have been opened through the miracles they have
seen for themselves and through the visions that they get from
God and have turned from darkness to light, they have turned
from stiff unbelief to strong, unwavering faith because the
Lord is merciful and loving and He hears the prayers of the
poor and the needy and he comes to their rescue and provides
them with precious gifts from Heaven.
The doors of Heaven are opened and blessings hail
from above like a drizzle, like snow flakes falling slowly to
the ground upon the believers who are poor, illiterate, and
unaware of God, who gives them freely to all who come here with
both hands.
"The Lord is fair and does not
show partiality. He is not prejudiced against the poor; when
someone prays who has been wronged, the Lord listens. When orphans
and widows pour out their prayers, he does not ignore them.
The tears running down a widow's cheek cry out in accusation
against the one who has caused her distress.
Serve the Lord willingly, and
the Lord will accept you; your prayers will reach the skies.
The prayer of a humble person goes past the clouds and keeps
on going until it reaches the Lord Most High, where it stays
until he answers by seeing that justice is done and that the
guilty are punished."
(Sirach 35:13-17)
We praise His name and thank Him for choosing
this place, giving it this name and making it a great charismatic
movement in North India.
Come and see for yourselves all these miracles happening in
front of you, which you might have never seen in your life.
Come closer to God, return to God, return to a life of light
from the life of darkness and become yourselves as a light for
the world(St.Matthew 5: 14-16).
All are invited.. Come with a firm faith
in God. Ask anything in His name, and you shall receive. Praise
the Lord!! Allelluia!!
The Lord says, "Come, everyone who is
thirsty - here is water! Come, you that have no money - buy
corn and wheat! Come! Buy wine and milk- it will cost you nothing!"
"Listen now, my people, and come to me;
come to me, and you will have
life! I will make a lasting covenant with you and give you the
blessings I promised to David." (Isaiah 55:1,3)
Welcome to JEEVAN DHAM- THE SOURCE OF LIFE.
WHERE
IS THE WORLD HEADING FOR?
But today, as we know what all-worse and terrifying and disgusting
things are happening in the world and where is it heading for
that we had never ever even dreamt of or thought of. Millions
of people are living below poverty line; thousands of children
die every year of malnutrition or improper diet, out of sheer
hunger; thousands die in wars and conflicts; others struck by
natural catastrophe; most of them have gone astray, away from
God leading a sinful and wretched life- some by rejecting God's
way of life and accepting all bad qualities of this world (2Timothy
3:1-5), and some due to ignorance and lack of knowledge and
wisdom, in total darkness where God is unknown to them and they
ask- "Where is God? Does He know what is happening
with us? Does He still love us like a Father or has He now closed
His eyes and ears and is indifferent to us? Will He come
again to judge us and give us the rewards or punishments on
the Judgement Day?"
The fact is that our 'God is
the God of the living, not of the dead' (St.Matthew 22:32)
and He is omnipresent, omnipotent, merciful, forgiving and loving
God. He loves everyone of us and is waiting with His arms open
and stretched to welcome us sinners with great joy (St.Luke
15:7,10,11-24). He is always aware of what people do, what they
think and what they will do. Nothing is hidden from him; He
is aware of them all (Sirach 17:15-24, 23:19). He is our Good
Shepherd (Psalms 23; St.John 10:7-18). He shows us the right
path; He has given us complete freedom here on earth to choose
between life and death; between fire and water; but He never
misleads us (Sirach 15:11-20) or tempts us to do evil or commit
sins (James 1:12-18). For God cannot be tempted by evil, and
He himself tempts no one. It is the lack of "Fear of God"
in humans that has led to all inhumane activities and brutalities,
all corruption and injustice.If we fear God, (Sirach 1:11-20;2:15-18;34:13-17)
we will keep away from all evil and sin and if the whole world
does this, there will be no bloodshed, no violence; but there
will be peace, love, equality, prosperity, joy and liberty everywhere.
To strive for peace and love, to fear God, to do what He wants
from us (St.Matthew 5:5,6,9-11) and to make others too fear
and believe in God is what God requires from us.
But Jesus is today dying of thirst, thirsting for
souls in to heaven, while we are crucifying him and nailing
him to the cross again and again by our sins. He is now unable
to bear the burden of our sins and has fallen again and again
to the ground with the heavy cross of our sins. He is now lifting
his hand and looking for someone who could lend him a helping
hand and make him stand on his bruised feet and then take our
heavy cross on his shoulders. But who are the ones who can lend
him a helping hand? What does he mean to help him even now when
he has been already resurrected and ascended to heaven 2000
years back for eternity with the Holy Father? He means Helping
the poor and the needy; the sick and the helpless; the widows
and orphans; the dejected and the lonely. And if we really help
these, his heavy burdens will be lightened and he will certainly
reward us with the Eternal Life with Him and the Heavenly Father
and all the Saints and Angels.
Jesus said,
"Whatsoever and
whenever you do it for one of the least important of these brothers
of mine, you do it for ME."(St.Matthew 25:40)
He says about the chances of different encounters that we can
have any time in our life where we could help Him by helping,
caring and loving our neighbours.
THE
TWO GREAT COMMANDMENTS
OF
JESUS :
The two Great Commandments that Jesus had given to all of us
are -
" 'Love the Lord with all your heart, with all your
soul and with all your mind.' This is the greatest and the most
important commandment.
The second most important commandment
is like it:
' Love your neighbour as you love yourself. '(St.Matthew 22:37-39)
Read the parable of the Rich Man and
Lazarus(St.Luke16:19-31) and the Parable of the Good Samaritan
(St.Luke 10:25-37) and understand for yourself- Who is your
neighbour?
The
Parable of the Good Samaritan :
A
Teacher of the Law came up and tried to trap Jesus. "Teacher",
he asked, "What must I do to receive Eternal Life?"
Jesus answered him, "What do the Scriptures
say? How do you interpret them?"
The man answered, " 'Love the Lord your God
with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength,
and with all your mind'; and 'Love your neighbour as you love
yourself.' "
"You are right," Jesus replied; "do
this and you will live."
But the teacher of the Law wanted to justify
himself, so he asked Jesus, "Who is my neighbour?"
Jesus answered, "There was once a man who was
going down from Jerusalem to Jericho when robbers attacked him,
stripped him, and beat him up, leaving him half dead. It so
happened that a priest was going down that road; but when saw
the man, he walked on by, on the other side. In the same way
a Levite also came along, went over and looked at the man, and
then walked on by, on the other side. But a Samaritan who was
travelling that way came upon the man, and when he saw him,
his heart was filled with pity. He went over to him, poured
oil and wine on his wounds and bandaged them; then he put the
man on his own animal and took him to an inn, where he took
care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave
them to the innkeeper. 'Take care of him, 'he told the innkeeper,'
and when I come back this way, I will pay you whatever else
you spend on him.' "
And Jesus concluded, "In your opinion, which
one of these three acted like a neighbour towards the man attacked
by the robbers?"
The teacher of the Law answered, "the one who
was kind to him."
Jesus replied, "You go, then, and do the same."
(St.Luke 10:25-37)
The
Rich Man and Lazarus :
"There was once a rich man who dressed
in the most expensive clothes and lived in great luxury every
day. There was also a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores,
who used to be brought to the rich man's door, hoping to eat
the bits of food that fell from the rich man's table. Even the
dogs would come and lick his sores.
The poor man died and was carried by
the angels to sit beside Abraham at the feast in Heaven. The
rich man died and was buried, and in Hades, where he was in
great pain, he looked up and saw Abraham, far away, with Lazarus
at his side. So he called out, 'Father Abraham! Take pity on
me, and send Lazarus to dip his finger in some water and cool
my tongue, because I am in great pain in this fire!'
But Abraham said, 'Remember, my son, that
in your lifetime you were given all the good things, while Lazarus
got all the bad things. But now he is enjoying himself here,
while you are in pain. Besides all that, there is a deep pit
lying between us, so that those who want to cross over from
here to you cannot do so, nor can anyone cross over to us from
where you are.'
The rich man said, "Then I beg you, father
Abraham, send Lazarus to my Father's house, where I have five
brothers. Let him go and warn them so that they, at least, will
not come to this place of pain.'
Abraham said, 'Your brothers have Moses and the
prophets to warn them; your brothers should listen to what they
say.' The rich man answered, 'That is not enough, father Abraham!
But if someone were to rise from death and go to them, then
they would turn from their sins.'
But Abraham said, 'If they will not listen to Moses
and the prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone
were to rise from death.' "(St.Luke
16:19-31)
Hence Jesus says,
"Come and enter the house of My Father.
When I was hungry, you gave me to eat;
When I was thirsty you gave me to drink;
When I was a stranger, you opened your doors;
When I was naked, you gave me clothes;
When I was tired, you gave me peace;
When I was frightened, you calmed me down;
When I was small, you thought me to read;
When I was lonely, you gave me your love;
When I was in prison, you visited me;
When I was sick and you took care of me;
In a strange country, you gave me a home;
When I had no job, you found me one;
When I was wounded, you took care of it;
When I was looking for friendship, you gave me your hand.
Whether I was black, or white or yellow; mocked at or insulted,
you carried my cross.
When I was old, you smiled at me;
When I couldn't find peace, you brought it to me.
You saw me: full of spit and blood; dirty with sweat,
Still you said you knew me.
You were on my side in times of despise;
In the hour of joy, we were together."
Amen.
