 THE MYSTERIOUS PLAN OF SALVATION

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:8-9)
Years ago, when you were a small child, you learned your ABCs. Not long after that, you learned your 123s. These are the basic building blocks of your education. You will use them as long as you live.
There is another set of basic information that you need in your life - the ABCs of salvation; the basics of how we relate to God. Although it is like a hidden mystery for the world, yet it is imminent and clear for those who read the Bible. You can look them up for a clearer understanding.
A - Admit that you are a sinner as St. Paul says, “since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23).
B - Believe that God sent Jesus, His beloved Son, to pay the punishment for your sin through His sacrifice on the Cross, shedding His Most Precious Blood even to the last drop for your redemption. St. John writes in his gospel, “But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God...”(John 1:12).
C - Confess that you are sorry for your sins, surrender them in faith to Jesus, and declare that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Master in your life. “because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Rom. 10:9).
An ancient church hymn written by St. Paul praising our salvation in Christ can be found in Ephesians 1:3-14 which shows that despite our fall from God, God destined us before time to be God’s children “through Jesus Christ.” Through Christ’s blood we have the “forgiveness of our sins.” God is praised in this hymn for his generosity. He, despite humanity’s misery and sinfulness, rushes to our side and restores our glorious inheritance—to be God’s own adopted daughters and sons. It is that simple.
Spread this simple, yet hidden, message of salvation to those in darkness, sin and bondage, in misery, disbelief, doubt and ignorance so that they too may receive salvation in Christ and be set free from all bondages and sin. Become the messengers of this Good news (you can volunteer to distribute this monthly newsletter too) so that all may be reconciled and united to God in Christ just as you are united to Him through your faith.

AN ALL POWERFUL AND SHORTEST PRAYER- ‘JESUS’
 
What does the name ‘Jesus’ mean?
The name ‘Jesus’ in Hebrew means ‘God saves’.
What does this name signify?
This name is at the heart of Christian prayer. It signifies that the very name of God is present in the peson of His Son, made man for the universal and definitive redemption from sins. It is the divine name that alone brings salvation, and henceforth all can invoke his name, for Jesus united himself to all men through his Incarnation, so that “there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.”(Acts 4:12) The Holy name of Jesus is thus the shortest, the easiest and the most powerful prayer. Our Lord himself promises that whatever we ask the Father in His Name, we shall receive. (ref. Jn. 14:13; 16:23)
What do we do/give/receive by taking this name?
Each time we say, “Jesus,”
- we give God infinite joy and glory, for we offer Him all the infinite merits of the Incarnation, Passion and Death of Christ.
- we gain 300 days indulgence, which we apply to the souls in Purgatory, thus relieving and liberating very many of these holy souls from mtheir awful pains.
- it is an act of perfect love, for we offer to God the infinite love of Jesus.
- we receive great graces (peace and joy for our souls, strength to bear our sufferings) for ourselves
- we recieve comfort, consolation and healing, freedom from bondages
- we can offer to God all the Masses (over 500,000 Masses offered everyday throughout the world) - for His glory and our own intentions, for the world and for our country.
- we drive the devil flying from our sides and are saved from countless evils.
Many Christians, like St.Joan of Arc, died with the name of Jesus on their lips. We too, without exception, can invoke this Holy Name Hundreds of times a day, not only for own needs, but also to ask God to deliver the world from impending ruin.

LET US PRAY
O God, who in Your unspeakable Providence did choose the Blessed Virgin Mary to be Your Most Holy Mother, mercifully grant her prayers on our behalf so that we may enjoy the happiness of Heaven for all eternity. Amen.

I, Jhallar Prasad, had been suffering from acute diabetes for the past three years. Besides, I had continuous pain in my knees for the last two weeks. My Lord Jesus heard my prayers and healed me from these two problems. But the most important blessing which I have received through prayers is freedom from addiction to drinking and smoking. I am now 50 years old and for the past 25 years, I used get drunk everyday. I started smoking ‘bidi’ since I was a 14-year old boy and later I could not get rid of this smoking habit. My family members had tried their best to help me get rid of this addiction but they could not succeed.
The turning point in my life arrived when I came to Jeevan Dham to attend the Sunday prayer service four months ago. I heard the testimonies, joined in praise and worship, listened to the Word of God and got the peace of mind the first day itself. My brother read out ‘Naya Jeevan’, the prayer book, everyday for one hour during the lunch time for me. Jesus changed my life altogether. The Word of God challenged my conscience and killed my desire to drink and smoke. I have never touched alcohol or even bought a ‘bidi’ for the past four months. I thank my Lord a million times for all these favours bestowed on a sinner like me.

I, Nirmala (age-27 years), have been suffering for the past 10 years from acute body pain. Unfortunately, I was bedridden and helpless for these 10 years. This problem started with pain in my ankles which later spread further above the feet to my whole body. I went to several doctors in Bihar and Faridabad and tried different kinds of treatments, yet I got relief from nowhere. After my marriage (7 years ago), my condition deteriorated further. The doctors at the Escorts Hospital, Faridabad gave up at last leaving no hope for me.
I started attending the Sunday prayer service at Jeevan Dham regularly since last month. The first day itself, through almighty God’s grace, I got a considerable relief in my body pain. I could even sit on the ground. After I went to get the blessings that day, I could raise my hands completely and the stiffness of my fingers dwindled gradually. Within one week, I started doing all my household chores with ease. Moreover, loving Lord Jesus started waking me up early morning at 4 a.m. that day onwards in order to devote my time in praise and worship. Earlier, I could never get up so early in the morning and my husband used to find it difficult to help me sit down. I am grateful to my merciful and loving God for He has made me a new creation in Christ and had healed me of my ailments through His powerful Word. Alleluia! Alleluia!

 C) 20-YEAR OLD TUMOUR VANISHES THROUGH PRAYERS!

Praise be to Jesus! Thanks be to Jesus!
I, Yanjan (age-55 years), had a tumourous growth on my chest for the past 20 years. I had continuous pain in my chest and my hunger had almost died. Due to my timidity, I never went to any doctor. Hence, I had to suffer silently all these years with a tumour on the chest.
One gentleman told me about the miracles happening at Jeevan Dham last month. I came here regularly every Sunday since that week. I used to pray everyday at home for healing and peace of mind. He heard my prayers very soon. Today, after praising, I heard the announcement being made on the stage that the Lord is healing a person who is suffering from tumour. I realized within minutes, to my surprise, that my chest pain had been healed and the tumourous growth had also vanished. I could not believe my eyes. My joy was unsurpassed and my mind awestruck. With my heart full of gratitude and praise for the Lord almighty, I rushed to the stage to give away my testimony. All praise, glory, honour and thanks be to Him forever.
