| DO YOU TAKE CAUTION IN SEEKING COUNSEL?
Someone said, “Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.” What do you think? Who is the wisest?
Some people think that the wisest person is the one who knows all the answers. In fact, that is not correct. The wisest person is the one who deals with all the questions. Realistically, there is no way you can have all the knowledge or insight that you need to navigate life. In order to survive on planet earth, you need expertise in subjects like healthcare, finances, insurance, education, parenting, spirituality, auto mechanics and so on, just to name a few. Is there any way one human being can master all of those subjects? No way, because human mind and life is limited. So, better be the Jack of all trades and King of none. History testifies to this truth that no one could conquer the whole world in one’s lifetime, either with brains or with brawns.
So, what is the solution? Seek wise counsel from the experts. You cannot do everything life requires of you alone, and you do not have to.
Develop a network of advisors and mentors who can give you the advise you need. This is where experience counts, which when accompanied with love and goodwill, could altogether change your life. For many people, the network starts from their childhood with their parents. They (parents) have been alive longer than you and that experience is valuable. Tap into it. Then comes the place of elder relatives and friends, teachers et al. For guidance in spirituality, there are the gifted priests, nuns and the religious, preachers and counsellors chosen and appointed by God for His missionary work. BUT THE BEST SOURCE OF WISDOM IS THE POWERFUL AND ETERNAL WORD OF GOD, THE HOLY BIBLE. It is a source of wisdom, true love, knowledge, counsel, piety, happiness, contentment, peace, truth, assurance, hope, security, courage, consolation, strength, life and spirit. Therefore, develop the habit of reading the Bible daily for atleast five to ten minutes before you start your day and before you go back to sleep at night. You would never go astray with the guiding and protecting Word of God beside you.
Let us see what the Bible teaches about taking caution while seeking counsel:
“Gold and silver make one stand firm, but good counsel is esteemed more than either. Riches and strength build up confidence, but the fear of the Lord is better than either. There is no want in the fear of the Lord, and with it there is no need to seek for help. The fear of the Lord is like a garden of blessing, and covers a person better than any glory.” (Sir. 40:25-27)
“All counselors praise the counsel they give, but some give counsel in their own interest. Be wary of a counselor, and learn first what is his interest, for he will take thought for himself. He may cast the lot against you and tell you, “Your way is good,” and then stand aside to see what happens to you.
DO NOT'S IN SEEKING ADVICE:
Do not consult the one who regards you with suspicion; hide your intentions from those who are jealous of you. Do not consult with a woman about her rival or with a coward about war, with a merchant about business or with a buyer about selling, with a miser about generosity or with the merciless about kindness, with an idler about any work or with a seasonal laborer about completing his work, with a lazy servant about a big task— pay no attention to any advice they give. But associate with a godly person whom you know to be a keeper of the commandments, who is like-minded with yourself, and who will grieve with you if you fail. And heed the counsel of your own heart, for no one is more faithful to you than it is. For our own mind sometimes keeps us better informed than seven sentinels sitting high on a watchtower. But above all pray to the Most High that he may direct your way in truth.” (Sirach 37:7-15)
The almighty, merciful and loving God as our Heavenly Father knows what is best for each one of us. He knows the perfect place and time for giving blessings to His loving children. He is always ready to help and fulfill the needs of those who love Him, obey Him and pray to Him in faith. Jesus says, “Very truly, I tell you, if you ask anything of the Father in my name, He will give it to you. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete. (John 16:23-24)
Out of His true love for us, God even let His beloved Son, Jesus (a name above every name on earth), be crucified for the redemption of our sins, whom He later adorned with supreme glory by resurrecting him on the third day and gave him authority over the whole creation to rule and judge mankind, authority over life and death, time and space.
Let us then pray to Jesus [[our Saviour, True Counsellor and Teacher, Lord and Master, the Light of the World, the Good Shepherd, the eternal Word of God, the Way, Truth and Life]] daily and seek His help and counsel. He knows what life and suffering is since He too had suffered when on earth as a poor man and had offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears to His Heavenly Father for us. “Because he himself was tested by what he suffered, he is able to help those who are being tested.” (Heb. 2:18; 4:15-16)
Jesus can help us through the Holy Spirit, as He had promised His disciples, our Helper, Guide and the Spirit of truth. Those filled by His Spirit need no one’s guidance and only such gifted people could give others an unbiased and apt counseling.

A) HE BLESSED US WITH A BOY AFTER 15 YEARS OF OUR MARRIAGE!
Praise be to Jesus! Thanks be to Jesus!
I, Gudiya, got married to Ram Keval 15 years ago and I have been attending the Sunday prayer service at Jeevan Dham for the past 2 years. Earlier, I had lost three babies during
pregnancy and we had been taking treatment from various hospitals in New Delhi and Faridabad since then.
A lady in our neighbourhood had told me about the miracles happening at ‘Jeevan Dham’ and assured me of getting a child through prayers keeping faith in almighty God. I started coming here the next Sunday onwards for the prayer service regularly. Fortunately for us, through the grace of loving God, I became pregnant very soon. It was in the eighth month that the doctor declared the need of an operation as he had examined and found the child to be healthy. This news scared us a bit yet we started praying more fervently everyday and asked for God’s blessings. We left everything in His hands as He is the source of all life. Surprisingly, two months ago, without undergoing the operation I gave birth to a baby boy through the mercy of Divine Almighty God. Today, we have brought him to Jeevan Dham to give our testimony for the wonderful gift that God has presented to our unfruitful family bringing joy and peace among us. Alleluia!
Gudiya, Ram Keval, Faridabad.
“He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children.” (Psalms 113:9)
B) 15-YEAR OLD ARTHRITIS HEALED THROUGH PRAYERS!
Praise be to Jesus! Thanks be to Jesus!
I, Sunita Devi (age-50 years), have been suffering for the past 15 years from acute body pain. Unfortunately, I got bedridden and helpless. It all started with a pain in my ankles which later gradually spread above the feet to my whole body. I took treatment from several doctors in Bihar (Patna and Bhagalpur distt.), Delhi (Safdarjung Hosp. and AIIMS) and Faridabad but all gave up at last. Over 1 lakh rupeeswerespent on my treatment alone which gave me no relief at all. My daughter had to cook food for everyone and had to feed me since my fingers had become stiff and painful. My digestive system had almost collapsed and I used to even vomit a lot. When suggested by my relatives, I started attending the Sunday prayer service at Jeevan Dham regularly. My condition improved rapidly from the day I went for prayers to Sec-22, Jeevan Dham(residence). Very soon my fingers became tender, my knee pain vanished, my digestive system got restored to normal, peace in my family retrieved, and hereafter I stopped taking medicine. We all started praying together to Jesus everyday. I just used to apply the oil on my body (as a medicine) which I had got blessed from Jeevan Dham and used to drink the holy water after prayer. This helped in fast recovery of my poor health.
Today, I even had the vision of infant Jesus (during praise and worship) who came to me from the stage and told me to give my testimony. With his grace, I got up suddenly to my surprise and could walk easily towards the stage with joy in my heart. Thanks to my loving God for He has made me a new creation in Christ. Jesus gave me a new life. Alleluia!
Sunita Devi, Faridabad
C) ALMIGHTY GOD GAVE THEM THE STRENGTH TO STAND AND WALK EASILY WITHOUT PAIN!
