CHOOSE TO REJOICE!- Reflection of the
Word
"About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns
to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there
was an earthquake, so violent that the foundations of the prison
were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's
chains were unfastened." (Acts 16:25)
Your joy as a Christian should not depend on your circumstances.
Joy comes from God, and therefore it cannot be affected by what
is outside of you. Don't be fooled into letting the actions of others
determine your joy. True joy comes from knowing that God Himself
lives within you and has fellowship with you, regard ess of your
environment. Real joy lies in the knowledge that holy God has completely
forgiven you of every sin, and even now, He has a home prepared
in heaven where you can spend eternity with Him (John 14:3). The
circumstances of your life cannot change these truths!
Paul and Silas faced some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable.
They were falsely accused, arrested, and imprisoned. They were beaten
and shackled in the darkest, coldest section of the prison. But
they refused to allow their horrific situation to dampen their joy!
They did not blame God for allowing these things to happen to them.
Instead, they praised Him for His goodness! In the darkness of the
night, they prayed and they sang. God brought a miracle that released
them from their chains, but perhaps the greater miracle was that
His Holy Spirit could so fill them that even in their painful imprisonment
they could overflow with joy!
Do not allow difficult events to cancel the joy of knowing you are
a child of God. Choose to allow God's Spirit to fill you with His
unquenchable joy, and your life will be a miracle to those who watch
you face the trials that come. |

A
HUMBLE PRAYER OF A SAINT
The Church celebrates the All Saints Day on the first day of November
which is followed by the All Souls Day celebrated on November 2. Saints
are men and women from all walks of life, people just like us, who remained
faithful to God and trusted in His promises. Some of them led lives of
extraordinary sanctity.
Most of them lived and died with no recognition from anyone but God whom
they worshipped from the purity of their hearts. As Jesus, our Lord and
Saviour, promises, "Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall
see God." and "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit
the earth" (Matt. 5:5, 8)
Let us pray to the saints, the humble and faithful servants of Christ,
with the Litany of humility as prayed by the humble Mother Teresa, called
due to her humility the saint of the gutters:
Lord, have mercy on us. Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, have mercy on us. Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us. Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, hear us. Christ, graciously hear us.
God, the Father of heaven have mercy on us.
God the Son, Redeemer of the world, " "
God the Holy Spirit, " "
Holy Trinity, one God, " "
Jesus, meek and humble of heart,
make our hearts like yours.
From the desire of being esteemed, deliver me, O Jesus
From the desire of being loved, deliver me, O Jesus
From the desire of being honoured, " "
From the desire of being praised, " "
From the desire of being preferred, " "
From the desire of being consulted, " "
From the desire of being approved, " "
From the desire of being popular, " "
From the fear of being humiliated, deliver me, O Jesus
From the fear of being despised, " "
From the fear of suffering rebukes, " "
From the fear of being calumniated, " "
From the fear of being forgotten, " "
From the fear of being wronged, " "
From the fear of being ridiculed, " "
From the fear of being suspected, " "
That others may be loved more than I, Jesus, grant me the grace to desire
it; " "
That others may be esteemed more than I, " "
That in the opinion of the world, other may increase and I may decrease,
" "
That others may be chosen and I set aside, " " "
That others may be praised and I unnoticed, " " "
That others may be preferred to me in everything, " " "
That others may become holier than I, provided that I may become as holy
as I should, " " "
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, spare us, O Lord
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, graciously hear us,
O Lord
Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, have mercy on us, O
Lord.
Let us pray:
O Lord, Jesus Christ, who said: "Ask and you shall receive, seek
and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you,"
Grant we beseech You to us Your supplicants the gift of your most divine
love that we may love You with our whole hearts and in all our words and
works and never cease from praising You. O Lord, give us a perpetual fear
as well as love of Your Holy name, for You never cease to govern those
you founded upon the solidity of Your love. We pray to Jesus, Who lives
and reigns world without end.. Amen.

O LADY OF THE HOLY
ROSARY! INTERCEDE FOR US SINNERS!
The Holy
Rosary of our Blessed Mother is a very profound and meaningful form of
prayer. In it we have our salvation history in a nutshell. Therein we
contemplate the central mysteries of Christian life: the redemption of
mankind through the incarnation, words and deeds, passion, death and resurrection
of Jesus Christ, God's son born of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Pope Paul
VI says, "During the month of October, making a garland by praying
the Rosary and presenting it to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of
Christ, is a praiseworthy custom among believers. Like our predecessors,
I do heartily endorse this devotional practice. Moreover, I call upon
the people of God to carry the Rosary of our Blessed Mother."
During this month, a special rosary was prayed in common every evening
at Jeevan Dham. The rosary, as shown by God in visions, was interceded
for a particular group of people or an objective, with the Word of God
that appeared as the Bible was opened under inspiration (which deals with
the goal of intercession and God's response to it). Everyday many people
experienced physical healings (viz. headache, stomach ache, blessed with
the gift of a child, or a job, or a house, of sight or hearing; healing
of diseases like T.B., Leprosy, and other incurable diseases like Cancer,
Tumour et al). By this we understand the power of praying the rosary with
faith, the power of having recourse to the intercession of Mother Mary
for all our needs, our problems and difficulties. Below is the list of
the intercession made each day during the month of October 2006, and the
corresponding Word obtained from the Bible.

| NEW BIBLE READING PLANS FOR 2006
The Holy Bible, the Divine
Word of God, the Book of Faith and Revelation, should be read regularly
everyday to nourish our Spirit, to strengthen our faith, hope and love,
and to guide us at every moment of our life. Last year we had presented
you with the 365-Day Bible Reading Plan- covering the whole Bible, with
plans corresponding to each month of the year. We believe that, although
it was little stretched out, it had benefitted the readers who stuck to
the schedule and read the whole Bible within the year. This year we would
like to introduce two new plans, viz., the 26-Week (6-month) NT reading
Plan and the 52-Week (1 Year) OT reading Plan, which would help you to
read the OT and the NT daily (OT in the morning and NT in the evening
or vice versa). Hence, starting from this month, we will be providing
you with both the reading plans every month. Set apart some time to read
the passage everyday (early morning/evening/late night) and try your best
to stick to the schedule. You’ll definitely get incredible results.
God Bless You!

A) HE CARRIED AWAY ALL MY DISEASES! TO HIM BE ALL GLORY AND PRAISE !
I, Vijay
(aged 24 years), was suffering from acute headache (migraine) and stomachache
for the past 4 years. My problem started with a swelling in the stomach
and the pain gradually went on increasing. Slowly, I felt the pain spreading
to my whole body and my mind becoming upset with all the tension of my
disease. The doctor diagnosed and found an ulcerous growth in my stomach.
Another disorder which crept up was my inability to lift up the left hand
due to stiffness and pain. all this made my life miserable. My father
took me to several hospitals in Bihar- in Munger and Bhagalpur, and in
Faridabad and nowhere I got relief from the treatments. Even after spending
over forty thousand rupees on various treatments, I could not recover
from my illness.
Then one day, around two-and-a-half years ago, a gentleman living close
by told me about the healing prayer service being held at Jeevan Dham.
I came here and got little relief within the first day. Gradually, my
pain started disappearing and with my trust in God, I started praying
regularly to Jesus and left taking medicine. Through the grace and mercy
of God I got rid of the pain in my stomach and in my head and body. I
can even raise my left hand completely without any pain. My Lord took
away all my illnesses and gave me a new life to praise and worship him.
ii) I was suffering from evil possession for the past 15 years due to
which I used to have bad dreams, sleepless nights and sometimes epileptic
fits too. I was afraid to sleep alone during the night. But after I started
attending the Sunday prayer service at Jeevan Dham regularly, I got freedom
from this evil possession and freedom from all fears. I praise and thank
the Lord for all favours He has bestowed on me.
Vijay, Faridabad
"That evening they brought to him many who were possessed
with demons; and he cast out the spirits with a word, and cured all who
were sick. This was to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet
Isaiah, "He took our infirmities and bore our diseases."( Matt.8:16-17)
B) UNABLE TO HEAR FOR OVER 5 YEARS, THEY GOT THE GIFT OF HEARING THROUGH
THE POWER OF THE WORD OF GOD! Alleluia!
