FORGIVE TO BE FORGIVEN - Reflection of the Word
“For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; but if you do not forgive others, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” (Matt. 6:14-15)
Perhaps you consider yourself a forgiving person, but you are now facing someone whom you cannot forgive. Whenever you struggle to forgive, you need to revisit what you were like when God first forgave you. St.Paul in his letter to the Ephesians, Chapter 2 indicates you were a “foreigner” and a “child of wrath”. Yet God forgave your most grievous sin and rebellion against Him. While you were still rejecting God, Christ, His beloved Son, died for you (Romans 5:8). This being so, how can you refuse to forgive those who sin against you? Forgiveness is not a spiritual gift, a skill, or an inherited trait. Forgiveness is a choice. Jesus looked down on those who had ruthlessly and mockingly nailed Him to the cross, yet He cried out: “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” (Luke 23:34) How, then, can we refuse to forgive those who have committed offenses against us? If we choose to withhold forgiveness from someone, our worship and prayers are futile (Matt. 5:23-24).
Jesus said that the measure in which we are forgiving is the same standard God will use in forgiving us. God’s ways are very different from ours. God’s forgiveness is not based on standards we determine, but on the standards He established based on His Word. God allows for no exceptions when it comes to forgiveness.
Before you ask God for his forgiveness, take a moment to examine the condition of your relationships. Ask God to make you aware of those dark corners in your life where you are harbouring resentment. Ask God to make you like Christ so that, even when you are being persecuted, you can pray, “Father, forgive them.”

“HAIL, YOU STAR OF THE OCEAN” - A HYMN TO MOTHER MARY
Hail, You Star of the Ocean,
Portal of the sky!
Ever Virgin Mother
Of the Lord Most High!
Oh! By Gabriel’s Ave,
Utter’d long ago,
Eva’s name reversing,
Establish peace below.
Break the captive’s fetters;
Light on blindness pour;
All our ills expelling
Every bliss implore.
Show yourself a Mother;
Offer Him our sighs,
Who for us Incarnate
Did not you despise.
Virgin of all virgins!
To your shelter take us:
Gentlest of the gentle!
Chaste and gentle make us.
Still, as on we journey,
Help our weak endeavor,
Till with you and Jesus
We rejoice forever.
Through the highest heaven,
To the Almighty Three,
Father, Son, and Spirit, One same glory be. Amen.
V. Grace is poured forth on your lips.
R. Therefore has the Lord blessed you forever.
The Latin version of this prayer, Ave, Maris stella, can be traced to the late eighth/early ninth century. The title, Star of the Sea (or Ocean), is one of the oldest and most widely spread titles for Mary. The prayer is often used to pray for travelers. Mary herself is a sign of hope for a safe arrival to one’s destination.

PRAY TO St.JOSEPH, THE PATRON SAINT OF THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH
ST.JOSEPH, THE PROTECTOR OF THE HOLY FAMILY OF NAZARETH
son of Heli, (Luke 3:23) [son of Jacob in Matthew's genealogy of Jesus Christ 1:16], and reputed Foster-father of Jesus Christ. All that is told us of Joseph in the New Testament may be summed up in a few words. He was a just man, and of the house and lineage of David. He lived at Nazareth in Galilee. He espoused Mary and before he took her home as his wife, he received the angelic communication recorded in Matt.1:20.
When Jesus was twelve years old, Joseph and Mary took him with them to keep the Passover at Jerusalem, and when they returned to Nazareth, he continued to act as a father to the child Jesus, and was reputed to be so indeed. But here, our knowledge of Joseph ends. That he died before our Lord's crucifixion is indeed tolerably certain, by what is related, Jn.19:27, and perhaps ,Mk.6:3, may imply that he was then dead. The date of his death and the place of his burial are unknown, but devotion has been shown to him since the earliest ages.
On December 8, 1870, Pope Pius IX proclaimed St.Joseph the Patron Saint of the Universal Church. The Catholic Church teaches that St.Joseph has been designated by God as the master of his goods and of his household. In 1955, Pope Pius XII added the title, ‘Patron of workmen’ for St.Joseph, the feast to be celebrated on May 1. St.Joseph is also invoked for a happy death. ‘All should go to Joseph’ in their difficulties as the Church advises and urges! As St.Thomas Aquinas said, ‘Our holy Patron St.Joseph has the power to assist us in all cases, (unlike other saints) in every necessity, in every undertaking’, we too should take his powerful intercession in our needs.
A PRAYER TO ST.JOSEPH
St. Joseph, protector of the Church, protect the Holy Father, his bishops and priests and all the Holy Church, preserve them in the true faith and in unity.
St. Joseph, fatherly protector of our families, grant us mutual love and domestic peace, help us in all our anxieties, needs and sorrows, and in the education of our children.
St. Joseph, terror of evil spirits, block their access to our families, and see to it that no soul of our relatives is lost.
St. Joseph, model and guardian of pilgrims and of all souls making sacrifices and reparation, and all who serve the Rosa Mystica, save them and their families from all the dangers and distresses of our time, help them and pray for them.
St. Joseph, protector of virgins, widows and orphans, help them in all that concerns them, body and soul.
St. Joseph, patron of the dying, pray for all who are dying today, and obtain for us a happy death.
St. Joseph, advocate for the poor souls in Purgatory, console them in their misery, and lead them soon to the sight of God.
St. Joseph, we beg thee be thou our father and protector, our guide and helper, so that we all hold our ground in the present battle against the power of the evil one, and reach our heavenly home. Amen.
St. Joseph, loving guardian and foster father of Jesus, protect Him from sacrilegious hands, and in all the tabernacles of the world, from His enemies and from communions on the hand.
St. Joseph, you whose power extends over all our needs, and who knows how to make possible what seems impossible, look with a fatherly eye upon the needs of your children. Amen.

| PRAYER OF ST.THERESA OF JESUS TO THE HOLY FACE!
O Jesus, who in Your bitter Passion did become “the most abject of men, a man of sorrows”, I venerate Your Sacred Face whereon there once did shine the beauty and sweetness of the Godhead; but now it has become for me as if it were the face of a leper! Nevertheless, under those disfigured features, I recognize Your infinite Love and I am consumed with the desire to love You and make You loved by all men. The tears which well up abundantly in Your sacred eyes appear to me as so many precious pearls that I love to gather up, in order to purchase the souls of poor sinners by means of their infinite value. O Jesus, whose adorable Face ravishes my heart, I implore You to fix deep within me Your divine image and to set me on fire with Your Love, that I may be found worthy to come to the contemplation of Your glorious Face in Heaven. Amen.

A) HIS HOLY WORD CLEANSED AND SAVED OUR FAMILY! ALLELUIA!
Praise be to Jesus! Thanks be to Jesus!
I, Kismati(age-44 years), got married to Shyamlal(age-51 years) 20 years ago and I have been grappling with many problems and ailments all these years. I had headache, backache, and pain in my leg (due to tumourous growth) for the past 20 years. I used to take so many tablets every day and my head used to remain hot like a frying pan very often for reasons unknown to me.
Moreover, I could not conceive a child till now. All this added up to make my life totally miserable and hopeless. To get rid of such a pitiable situation, we went to places (wherever we were referred to including the people who practiced magic, witchcraft et al) and did whatever possible. We spent lakhs of rupees on various tests and treatments within the past two decades. Yet nothing came out to be a solution for our problems. I could not do any household work and became totally bedridden.
Besides, we had family quarrels very often which shattered the peace in our family and in despair persuaded me to commit suicide few times.
I had a strong addiction to smoking bidi which caught me unaware during my teenage years. No matter how our financial situation was, my husband had to buy for me a bundle of bidi everyday. I could never get rid of this addiction myself till this year.
One day a lady living in our neighbourhood, who after having a paralytic attack got some relief and strength after attending the prayer service, told me about the healing prayer service held every Sunday at Jeevan Dham and assured me of getting cured through prayers. We have been attending the prayer service regularly for the past 7 months beginning from that week.
The first week after I sought blessings after the prayer service, I felt relieved from my leg pain and my headache. Through the power of the Word of God, our family was first blessed with the lasting peace and love which we had been missing for over a decade. Gradually, I experienced the healing touch of Jesus in my body (by applying the water blessed at Jeevan Dham) and got rid of all body pains through His grace. I left taking medicine since the past 6 months. The almighty God restored me the good health with which I can now do all the household work easily. This is not all. I am highly obliged to Him, our Lord and Saviour, with whose grace I could get rid of my severe addiction to smoking. We sing His praises and give our testimony to all those we know and we are showing the way of life to the sick and the needy bringing them to Jeevan Dham to experience the presence of the one, true, living God. Praise the Lord!
Kismati-Shyamlal, New Delhi
“Some were sick through their sinful ways, and because of their iniquities endured affliction; they loathed any kind of food, and they drew near to the gates of death.
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress; he sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from destruction. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wonderful works to humankind.” (Ps. 107:17-21)
B) ALMIGHTY GOD GAVE THEM THE STRENGTH TO RAISE THEIR HANDS!

Praise be to Jesus! Thanks be to Jesus!
I, Roop Ram, was suffering from asthma for the past 26 years which had made my life miserable. Due to this dreadful disease I could not eat, walk, sleep, or work properly. This started after I caught malaria and later T.B. in my lungs. I was taken to several private doctors in Faridabad and Delhi. In the end, I was admitted in Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi. In the meantime, my condition had worsened to such an extent that I had to leave my job. All my life, that is, for the past 26 years, I sought healing through medicine and other treatments on which I spent over three lakh rupees. But my health condition remained unperturbed.
One day a lady in my neighbourhood told my wife about the healing prayer service held at Jeevan Dham and advised me to attend the Sunday prayer service, assuring me of being healed if I had faith in God. First, my wife attended the Sunday prayer service and heard the powerful Word of God. She took me along the next Sunday onwards with the hope of getting healed through prayers. My merciful Lord heard our prayers and started healing me gradually. Within three months, I got almost completely healed to an extent that I could sleep well, eat and work comfortably. Moreover, I applied for my lost job and through the grace of Almighty God I got it back very soon. I give a million thanks to the living God who heard my cries and answered our prayers. Roop Ram, Delhi
C) THE WORD OF GOD DELIVERED THEM FROM THEIR PERSISTENT STOMACHACHE!

D) GOT RID OF 50-YEAR OLD ADDICTION TO SMOKING! GOD IS REALLY WONDERFUL!
Praise be to Jesus! Thanks be to Jesus!
I, Ramesh Chandra, am now in my mid sixties (65) and since I was a 14-year old boy, I used to smoke and drink a lot. I got addicted to smoking bidi and hukka, and especially to chewing tobacco. I used to smoke one bundle of bidi and chew a lot of tobacco daily. Although, I had left the bad habit of drinking liquor in my childhood, I could not free myself from the clutches of the addiction to smoking for the past 50 years.
After hearing from one gentleman about Jeevan Dham, I started coming here since last month. And I believe that it is clearly a manifestation of the Word of God in me through which I did not take even a single bidi or a tobacco since the last Sunday. I praise the Lord Almighty for the mercy and love He has shown to me by freeing me from all addictions!!
Ramesh Chandra, Aligarh
