 REALIZE THE GREATNESS OF SALVATION

The Holy Bible speaks about the indispensable salvation which is the supreme mission of the Lord, our God, who says, “At an acceptable time I have listened to you, and on a day of salvation I have helped you.” See, now is the acceptable time; see, now is the day of salvation! (2 Cor. 6:2). God has destined us not for wrath but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep we may live with him.(1 Thess. 5:9-10). The time mentioned above, the time for conversion, is the intermediary period between the time of Christ's first coming and His glorious return on the 'Day of Judgement' which is granted to the 'remnant' (Rom. 11:5), the leftover and protected believers, and to the gentiles (Rom. 11:25). Though the duration is uncertain, this time of pilgrimage must be regarded as being short (1Pet.1:17; Rev. 10:6; 12:12) and full of trials (Eph. 5:16;6:13) and sufferings which are a prelude to the glory to come (Rom. 8:11). The end is at hand (1 Pet. 4:7) as it is revealed to many believers in these days and as it could be seen from the signs of the end prophesied by the Lord himself. Hence, as the Day approaches near, it is necessary to be on the watch (1Thess. 5:6) and to use the time well that remains (Col. 4:5) for one's own salvation, working it out with fear and trembling (Phil 2:12), and that of others (Gal. 6:10), leaving the final vindication to God (Rom. 12:19; 1Cor. 4:5).
The most Holy and powerful name of Jesus means “God saves” and He was destined to die for the world as its Saviour as the angel had disclosed to Joseph before Mary's conception, “...do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”(Matt. 1:20-21). Jesus also made this declaration that He "came to seek out and to save the lost." (Luke 19:10)
Salvation, as the Bible teaches, is the only divinely provided remedy for sin. Without such a provision, the sinner is both helpless and hopeless. Accepting this blood-bought salvation so freely offered, the sinner can experience freedom from the past with all its failure; victory in present days from sin's tyranny; and hope of escape from sin's full punishment in hell. All who are lost are shut up to God's perfect, peerless salvation. There is no other way out of the gloom and despair of sin. “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name (except that of Jesus) under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.”(Acts 4:12) If this salvation is neglected and finally rejected, there can be no escape from the righteous judgement of God (2 Thess. 1:9; Heb. 2:3)
The “great Salvation” is the greatest manifestation of God's power to deliver (esp. the deliverance from satanic bondage) his chosen ones which was made possible through Christ's passion, death and resurrection. This salvation is named great since it gathers into itself all the redemptive acts and processes- as justification, redemption, saving grace, propitiation, forgiveness, sanctification and glorification. “Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised” (Ps. 48:1), and everything from His Heart and Hand bears the imprint of His greatness. Following are the reasons why salvation is considered great indeed for all:
Salvation is Great because:
a) of its Divine Author
Salvation antedates creation, being conceived in the mind of God in the dateless past. It came to us according to the eternal purpose of God, not as an immediate, unpremeditated plan to meet a sudden emergency. Salvation, then, is great seeing that God is its Source or Origin. (cf. Rom. 5:8; Eph. 1:4; Tit. 1:2; 1 Pet. 1:20)
b) of the Price paid to procure it
Salvation came down to us drenched with the most precious Blood of Jesus Christ. He had to give His life as a ransom in order to save us. We were purchased by His precious blood. (cf. Rev. 5:9; 2Cor. 5:21; Heb. 2:14)
c) of its agency
It is the Holy Spirit who makes possible the actual work of salvation in the heart of the believing sinner. Repentance toward God and faith in Christ form the channel of salvation. (cf. Jn. 1:12; Acts 20:21; Tit. 3:5-8)
d) of its universality
God's salvation is for all irrespective of nationality, language, condition, age or need and He wills all men to be saved. Jesus died for the whole world and not for a particular race, group, or nation. (cf. Jn. 3:16; 1 Tim. 2:4-6)
e) of the Blessings it bestows
Salvation makes us righteous before God, brings us into the fellowship of our Deliverer, gives us satisfaction, forgiveness, joy and peace.
f) it is eternal in its duration
Christ is the provider of an unceasing Salvation (Heb. 5:9; 9:12). Through His wondrous grace, the Saviour imparts eternal security to all He saves. ( Jn. 10:28)
g) it is incomparable
There is no other way God can clear and deliver the guilty save through the sacrifice and mediation of His Beloved Son, Jesus. Man's own worth or works are useless as avenues of salvation in the sight of God. (Eph. 2:7-10)
h) it came to us Personified
We are prone to forget that salvation is not something, but SOMEONE. Jesus, the Word of God, came to us , personified, as our salvation(cf. Is. 12:2; Ps. 27:1; 62:2), as God Emmanuel, as the Way, Truth and Life.

A PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT!

O Virgin Immaculate, perfect lover of Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, we ask you to obtain for us the graces we need to become true adorers of our Eucharistic God. We magnify the Lord and rejoice with you for the gift of the Word made flesh, our bread of life and cup of joy. Grant us, we beg of you, to know Him better, to love Him more, and to center our lives around the Eucharist, that is, to make our whole life a constant prayer of adoration, thanksgiving, reparation, and petition to Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Amen.
V. Pray for us, O Virgin Immaculate, Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament.
R. That the Eucharistic Kingdom of Jesus Christ may come among us!

 LITANY OF THE SACRED HEART

In 1899 Pope Leo XIII approved this Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for public use. This litany is actually a synthesis of several other litanies dating back to the 17th century. Father Croiset composed a litany in 1691 from which 17 invocations were used by Venerable Anne Madeleine Remuzat when she composed her litany in 1718 at Marseille. She joined an additional 10 invocations to those of Father Croiset, for a total of 27 invocations. Six more invocations written by Sister Madeleine Joly of Dijon in 1686 were added by the Sacred Congregation for Rites when it was approved for public use in 1899. This makes a total of 33 invocations, one for each year of life of our Lord Jesus Christ. A partial indulgence is attached to this litany.

Lord, have mercy on us.

A ) ALMIGHTY GOD HEALED THEM OF PERSISTENT JOINT PAINS AND GAVE THEM THE STRENGTH TO WALK WITH EASE!
All praise, thanks & glory be to Jesus!

Loving God healed them & gave them the strength to walk!

I, Harbans Lal (now 47 years old) [on the extreme left in the picture on the next page], am attending the healing prayer service at Jeevan Dham for the fourth time. I have been suffering from acute back and knee pain for over the past 20 years. It was very much difficult for me to stand up after sitting for over an hour or so. I went to several hospitals for medication but nowhere could I find any medicine to ease my pain and help me work properly.
The first time I came here, I had a severe problem in sittiing down and getting up on my own. But very soon, I got much relief in pain the same day itself. After two weeks, I left all medication and relied completely on the healing power of prayers made with faith in Lord Jesus. Today, when I heard the announcement during the service that the loving Lord is healing those who are suffering from backache and leg pain, I counted myself to be one of those healed and walked towards the stage to give my testimony before all. All praise & glory be to Jesus!
Harbans Lal, Faridabad

I, Vidya Prasad (age-75 years) [on the second left in the picture], have been coming here at Jeevan Dham for the past 4 months. I had severe pain in my back and knees for the past 12 years. The joints in my legs used to become stiff and numb if I sat down anywhere for some time due to lack of blood circulation behind my knees. This problem made it impossible for me to get up for about half an hour. For me, even walking a long distance was a hard nut to crack.
But Lord Jesus healed me of all these problems gradually with His powerful Word making me steadfast in His faith and helping me to witness His miracles. Alelluia! Praise the Lord!
Vidya Prasad, Faridabad

I, Freeda [in the middle of the picture], started experiencing pain in my knees since August last year. I was unable to climb the stairs or even bend my knees completely since then. Few months back, when a gentleman told me about the healing prayer service being held here at Jeevan Dham every Sunday, I started attending it regularly with deep faith. Today, as I heard the healing announcement made from the stage, I felt my legs much lighter in weight and less painful. I got the inspiration and confidence to walk towards the stage and I climbed the stage with ease miraculously. The Almighty God touched me and took away all my pain and ailments.
Freeda (age-53 years), Faridabad

I, Khushboo [second from right in the picture above], have been attending the healing prayer service here at Jeevan Dham for several weeks and the loving Lord healed me of my 1-month old persistent knee pain completely today. Alleluia!
Khushboo (age-15 years), Harkesh Nagar

I, Roshan [on the extreme right in the picture above], had a persistent pain in my knees for the past 2 years. I could not get even a pinch of relief from all the different kinds of treatment that I underwent over these 2 years. I started attending the prayer service conducted here regularly for over an year. Merciful Lord Jesus heard my prayers very soon. He healed my knees and helped me get rid of this pain completely. A million thanks and praise to Him, my Saviour!
Roshan (age- 24 years), Subhash Colony

“For who is God except the Lord? And who is a rock besides our God?— the God who girded me with strength, and made my way safe. He made my feet like the feet of a deer, and set me secure on the heights.”(Psalm 18:31-33)

B) MY JESUS HEALED MY AILING HEART!

All praise, thanks & glory be to Jesus!
I, Devli, unlike others, had a fast heart beat and had a little pain and heaviness in my heart for several months. I used to get panicky and uneasy very often. For all this, I tried and sought the help of medicine from various doctors but in vain. I have been attending the prayer service at Jeevan Dham for the past several weeks. But today was a very special day of my life because while singing the bhajan I got the vision of Lord Jesus dressed up in white, who came near me, blessed me keeping his hands on me saying, "It's all right, all right" and slowly disappeared from my sight. My body started shivering all throughout and I opened up my eyes as I was dumbstruck in awe.
Suddenly I heard the announcement made on the stage from where the lady was explaining the colour and the type of the clothes (purple ghaghara) I was wearing and the problem I was having in my heart which had vanished by now. She announced that the Lord is healing that person. The loving Lord, who spot me from among the big crowd and had healed me, inspired me to give my testimony on the stage. He did an incredible miracle for me!
Devli, Faridabad
