THE SACRED HEARTS OF JESUS & MARY- INFLAMED WITH DIVINE LOVE FOR ALL
PRAYER OF CONSECRATION TO THE HEARTS OF JESUS AND MARY
Hearts of Jesus and Mary, united and burning with love, we belong to you, from now on, for time and eternity. Replace our poor, sinful and fickle hearts with your most sacred hearts so that we may live and die in than, think, speak, and act in them, so that all our thinking and doing may be sanctified by, with, and in you; May every day, every hour, every minute, every second be yours. Do with us what you will, only never separate us from your love, and never again let us fall into sin, so that our lives may glorify you. Amen.
Since the 16th century Catholic piety has assigned entire months to special devotions. The month of June is set apart for devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. “From among all the proofs of the infinite goodness of our Saviour none stands out more prominently than the fact that, as the love of the faithful grew cold, He, Divine Love Itself, gave Himself to us to be honored by a very special devotion and that the rich treasury of the Church was thrown wide open in the interests of that devotion.” These words of Pope Pius XI refer to the Sacred Heart Devotion, which in its present form dates from the revelations given to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque in 1673-75.
The devotion consists in the divine worship of the human heart of Christ, which is united to His divinity and which is a symbol of His love for us. The aim of the devotion is to make our Lord king over our hearts by prompting them to return love to Him (especially through an act of consecration by which we offer to the Heart of Jesus both ourselves and all that belongs to us) and to make reparation for our ingratitude to God.
INVOCATION
O Heart of love, I put all my trust in Thee; for I fear all things from my own weakness, but I hope for all things from Thy goodness.
-Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque
PRAYER TO THE SACRED HEART
Devotion to the Sacred Heart was the characteristic note of the piety of Saint Gertrude the Great (1256-1302), Benedictine nun and renowned mystic. She was, in fact, the first great exponent of devotion to the Sacred Heart. In our efforts to honor the Heart of Jesus we have this prayer as a model for our own:
Hail! O Sacred Heart of Jesus, living and quickening source of eternal life, infinite treasure of the Divinity, and burning furnace of divine love. You are my refuge and my sanctuary, O my amiable Saviour. Consume my heart with that burning fire with which Yours is ever inflamed. Pour down on my soul those graces which flow from Your love, and let my heart be so united with Yours, that our wills may be one, and mine in all things be conformed to Yours. May Your divine will be equally the standard and rule of all my desires and of all my actions. Amen.
-Saint Gertrude
FOR THE CHURCH
O most holy Heart of Jesus, shower Thy blessings in abundant measure upon Thy holy Church, upon the Supreme Pontiff and upon all the clergy; to the just grant perseverance; convert sinners; enlighten unbelievers; bless our relations, friends and benefactors; assist the dying; deliver the holy souls in purgatory; and extend over all hearts the sweet empire of Thy love. Amen.
MEMORARE TO THE SACRED HEART
Remember, O most sweet Jesus, that no one who has had recourse to Your Sacred Heart, implored its help, or sought it mercy was ever abandoned. Encouraged with confidence, O tenderest of hearts, we present ourselves before You, crushed beneath the weight of our sins. In our misery, O Sacred Heart of Jesus, despise not our simple prayers, but mercifully grant our requests.
May the Eucharistic heart of Jesus and the sorrow-filled, spotless heart of Mary, be loved, praised, and blessed in all places and by all nations for ever and ever. Amen. |

THE APOSTLES PETER AND PAUL: MISSIONARIES TO THE JEWS & THE GENTILES
FEAST DAY: JUNE 29
ST. PETER
“Simon, Son of John” was born at Bethsaida on the shore of the sea of Galilee. He married, settled down at Capernaum and, with his brother Andrew, earned his living by fishing until our Lord called him from being a disciple of John the Baptist to ‘become a fisher of men.’ Thenceforth he was called ‘Cephas’, an Aramaic word meaning ‘rock’ (in Latin ‘Petrus’), and when he later declared his faith in Jesus as ‘the Christ, the Son of the Living God’, our Lord stated that ‘upon this rock I will build my Church, and I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you shall bind on earth, shall also be bound in heaven; and what you shall loose on earth, shall also be bound in heaven.’
After the Resurrection of our Lord, he was among the first to whom our Lord appeared; it was he who presided at the election of Matthias, preached the first public sermon at the Pentecost, addressed the Sanhedrin, received the first Jewish and later the first pagan converts into the Church; he performed the first public miracles, and spoke the decisive word at the first Church Council.
St. Peter died a martyr’s death in 67, being crucified head down in Nero’s gardens on the Vatican Hill.
ST. PAUL
One of the Church’ s most ancient traditions states that the holy Apostles Peter and Paul suffered martyrdom in Rome on the same day. 29 June is the day on which their bodies were secretly translated to the catacomb of St. Sebastian in 259, to escape desecration during the persecutions.
St. Paul, being equally familiar with Jewish and Greek culture, he was admirably fitted by nature and training for the great work God assigned to him; to free the young Christian Church from Jewish Sectarianism. Saul was a Hebrew, born in the tribe of Benjamin, trained under a famous Jewish rabbi (teacher) called Gamaliel. Earlier, being an army general and a staunch believer of Jewish traditions and customs, he arrested and persecuted the Christians, and even witnessed the stoning of the first martyr, St. Stephen. But on the way to Tarsus one day, he encountered Jesus in a vision which blinded him totally although it opened his eyes to the truth behind Christianity. He turned from Saul to Paul (Greek name meaning ‘small’), a persecutor to a fearless and zealous preacher of Christianity, witnessing his experience of Jesus. His 14 apostolic writings (letters) to the churches he had founded have remained a wellspring of truth down to our own day. But will power and intellect alone would have produced a terrifyingly cold and hard character, has it not been for the glowing warmth of his personality which, fired with passionate love for Jesus Christ, let him see everything ‘in Christ’, and enthused him to form the churches with the tenderness of a mother into ‘the mystical body of Christ.’ God also granted him many extraordinary mystical experiences.
He was arrested during the persecution of Nero. He was beheaded outside the gates of the city of Rome in the year 67.

A) LOVING JESUS HEALED MY 25 YEARS OLD ASTHMA!
Praise be to Jesus! Thanks be to Jesus!
I, Sapna Devi, was suffering from asthma for the past 25 years which had made my life miserable. Due to this dreadful disease I could not eat much, walk or sleep or work properly. I was taken to several private doctors in my village in Munger (Bihar) and here in Faridabad. All my life, that is, for the past 25 years, I sought healing through medicine and other treatments on which I spent over one lakh rupees. But my health condition remained unperturbed.
When advised by one lady in my neighbourhood, I attended the Sunday prayer service here at Jeevan Dham, with little faith of being healed. When I was taken back again to Bihar for treatment, my daughter attended the Sunday prayer service. I came back last month this year and started attending the Sunday prayer service. I left taking medicine and placed my hope in Him. My merciful Lord heard our prayers and started healing me gradually since the past one month. Through the grace of loving Jesus, I got almost completely healed to an extent that I could now sleep well, eat and work comfortably, although I have yet to recover from body weakness. I have no words to thank Him for His precious blessings.
Sapna Devi, Faridabad
“As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who fear him. For he knows how we were made; he remembers that we are dust.” (Psalms103:13-14)
B) THROUGH THE POWER OF HIS WORD, THEY COULD WALK EASILY WITHOUT PAIN!

C) GOD HEALED MY DREADFUL SKIN DISEASE!
Praise be to Jesus! Thanks be to Jesus!
My name is Rajesh(22yrs). I was suffering from a terrible skin disease for more than 10 years. My whole body was covered up by pustules which used to ooze out pus and even blood. For me, every year the summer time was particularly miserable when they became red and began to itch unbearably. My parents brought me to several private doctors and skin specialists. But no doctor was able to give me relief. Within a decade, they spent over 7,000 rupees on medicine alone but in vain. Then my mother, Meena Devi, brought me to here for prayer. I have been coming here for the last one year. The almighty God heard our prayers and cured me of this disease leaving only few marks behind. Rajesh, Faridabad.
