 JEEVAN DHAM CELEBRATES ITS 18TH ANNIVERSARYJOYFULLY!

On July 6, 2009 Jeevan Dham completed its 18 precious years in the service of the poor, the needy, the sick, the dejected, the spiritually hungry and thirsty. Those who yearn spiritually for a True, living God and thirst for His Divine Word experience and witness physical and spiritual healing besides His living presence, mercy, love and peace and this transforms and renews their character, vision and life. Another reason for celebration was the commemoration of 23 years of Eucharistic service being held in the house. To celebrate this joyous occasion, the Auxiliary Bishop of Delhi, His Excellency Franco Mulakkal offered a Thanksgiving Mass at JEEVAN DHAM.
By 10:30 a.m., people from far and near gathered to participate in the Holy Mass and welcomed the Bishop with a garland and rose petal showers singing the entrance hymn with enthusiasm. 13 other priests from different parishes in Agra, Delhi and Faridabad who joined His Lordship in this celebration including our Parish priest Fr. Johnson Kizhakkeveetil were Fr. Jose Maliekal (Vicar General of Agra Archdiocese), Fr. Arnold David, Fr. Claude, Fr. George Koovakkal, Fr. Gregory, Fr. Peter Parker, Fr. Sunil, Fr. Thomas Chambakatt, Fr. Ayres Furtado, Fr. Anthony Francis, Fr. Albert Francis and Fr. Bipin Ekka (Parish Asstt.).
His Lordship gave a meaningful reflection on the day's readings, giving suitable true-life examples, emphasizing on the faith in Jesus. Referring to the first chapter of the Letter to the Hebrews from the Holy Bible, he clarified that from the beginning our Heavenly Father used to speak directly, then through the prophets, priests, kings and angels, and now through His only Son, Jesus Christ, whom He testified at his baptism, transfiguration and resurrection as His beloved Son. Hence, according to the Heavenly Father, men should listen to and follow Jesus; they should share their testimonies and spiritual experiences, spread His Good News and thereby through their obedience they become the inheritors of Heavenly blessings and grace. The divine love for Jesus should inspire a true Christian to proclaim his faith whenever and wherever required through his words, deeds and life. He should never miss the chance to speak about the innumerable blessings, healings and favours which he has received from his Almighty Father in heaven. Such kind of witnessing of faith glorifies the Lord and gives him further blessings and grace.
God speaks to us, this way, not only through His Divine Word in the Bible, but more effectively through our day-to-day experiences, struggles and events. Thus, by keeping an optimistic and humble attitude with firm faith, inspired by the love of Christ, we would readily give ourselves in brotherly love and service, in obedience to God's commands thus making us His beloved children.
The new entrance hymn, the offertory hymn and the communion hymn - all new compositions along with an exclusive recessional hymn made at JEEVAN DHAM, sung by the lively choir with the accompaniment of a fresh, vibrant and rich music brought a jubilant and spirit-filled atmosphere in the Eucharistic celebrations. Our Parish priest, Rev. Fr. Johnson gave the word of thanks to all on behalf of Jeevan Dham. Soon after the Mass, the 18th anniversary cake was cut by the Bishop followed by the joyful praise. The concelebrants, thereafter, along with His Lordship and the religious sisters joined for table fellowship while cakes were distributed among the people. Later, His Lordship spent a little time sharing His pastoral experiences to encourage and increase the spiritual ardour of the volunteers. He finished his words with thanks and gave away his blessings.
We are thankful to Almighty God for all the favours, blessings and healings which we received on that day. We pray that more and more people may join us in prayer as the round-the-clock (24hr.) adoration has been going on daily for the past 6 years (since 2003) through the grace of Almighty God. Besides, the Holy Mass is celebrated here daily morning 10:30 a.m. following the morning prayer which starts at 9:30 a.m. Through His grace, and the prayers, support and co-operation of the lay faithful and the religious sisters of St. Anthony's, we have been conducting the Sunday healing prayer service at St. Anthony's School, Sec-9, Faridabad for the past 12 years regularly after conducting it previously for 8 years (from 1991 to 1997 on Fridays) at Jeevan Dham, H. No. 696/ Sec-22, Faridabad. Thanks a million to Lord Jesus, to our Heavenly Father and to the Holy Spirit for their presence and for all the gifts which they have showered from Heaven on the faithful believers. Alleluia! Alleluia!

A ) LORD JESUS HELPED US GET RID OF ALL ADDICTIONS TO SMOKING & DRINKING!  
All praise, glory & thanks be to Jesus!
I, Nanhe (on the left in the picture), am now 45 years old and I have been chewing tobacco, smoking bidi and cigarettes and drinking alcohol for the past 25 to 30 years. I used to spend all my money on drinking and gambling daily. If I did not drink one day, I used to get angry on everyone at home. My wife had tried very hard to help me stop taking all these harmful things and even got angry with me several times, yet I could not free myself from their clutches all these years.
On hearing from my neighbour about the healing prayer service held at Jeevan Dham, I started coming here. I heard the powerful Word of God and saw how the believers were giving their testimonies on the stage. I have been attending the prayer service now for the past 4 years. And I believe that it is clearly a manifestation of the Word of God in me through which I could slip out of all these bad habits for the past few weeks. I have not taken anything since then and neither did I feel any interest in drinking or smoking or gambling. I praise the Lord Almighty, my Liberator and Master, for the mercy and love He has shown to me by freeing me from these wrong addictions.

I, Deeg Ram (on the right in the picture), have now reached the age of 48 years and I have been regularly attending the healing prayer service at Jeevan Dham since the year 2000. I have been smoking bidi and cigarettes for the past 35 years. I had tried very hard to end my addiction to smoking but all my efforts went useless. It was the manifestation of the powerful Word of God working as a double-edged sword which challenged my addictions and transformed me gradually into a new creation in Christ. Miraculously, from the last two weeks I have neither smoked even a single cigarette or bidi nor did I feel the urge to smoke . Rather, I felt a strong dislike within me even when I thought of smoking a cigarette. I praise my dear Lord Jesus, my Deliverer and Master, to whom I had promised to give my testimony on the stage before everyone, today for all the favours and blessings He has endowed on me. B) WITH HIS TOUCH, JESUS HEALED ALL MY AILMENTS COMPLETELY!

I, Meena, unlike others, had a very low Blood Pressure since my childhood. I was so sensitive that a little threatening or a false accusation on me would make me start shivering till I went unconscious. I could not speak boldly in front of even a few people. All kinds of treatment failed to restore my Blood Pressure back to normal. On hearing about Jeevan Dham from a neighbouring lady, I had started attending the Sunday healing prayer service for the past few months regularly. My Lord Jesus restored back to normal my Blood Pressure within a few days. Today, I could speak in front of thousands without any fear.
My backbone was not straight and one of the bones around my neck was protruding out which occasionally gave me immense pain. I could not work for a long time in a standing position. With firm faith in Jesus, I applied the oil which I got blessed from Jeevan Dham and even drank the blessed water (blessed by dipping the prayer book 'Naya Jeevan' in it) regularly. Within a few days my backbone became straight and the bone protruding from my neck got back into its correct position. My month-long back pain too got healed completely.
I and my husband used to take gutka (a kind of tobacco) daily for the past 15 years. Competing with my husband, I used to take about 10 to 15 packets daily. But after coming here to Jeevan Dham, we have left taking gutka anymore. Meena, New Delhi
