The Word of God gives True peace, love, wisdom, encouragement, hope and consolation to those who have faith in Him. They may help you to understand the ways of God and come closer to Him; they may even serve as your means of survival here in this sinful world guiding and protecting you and as the means of your Salvation through your faith in Jesus, the Son of God in Heaven. For it is written in the scriptures that,
“One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” The Holy Bible : New Revised Standard Version. 1989 (St. Matthew 4:4)
The Word provides spirit and life as Jesus says,
“It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” The Holy Bible : New Revised Standard Version. 1989 (St. John 6:63)
The Word sets us free, gives us true freedom as Jesus says,
“If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (St. John 8:31-32)
The Word cleanses and purifies us as Jesus says,
“You have already been cleansed by the word that I have spoken to you.” (St. John 15:3)
The Word touches and heals our mind, soul and heart testifying the truth because,
“Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow...” (Hebrews 4:12)
and this Word is Jesus himself, who is God and was with God, who created everything, who is the light of the World, who became flesh(man) and lived among us, and is full of grace and truth. He says,
“He who comes to me will never be hungry; he who believes in me will never be thirsty.” (St. John 6:35)
He says and truly claims that,
“I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE; no one goes to the Father except by me.” (St. John 14:6)
We should believe that - God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him. (St. John 3:17)
The Father (God) loves the Son and has placed all things in His hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life... (St. John 3:35-36)
